Mindful Leadership Coach and Trainer

As one of the few mindful leadership coach/trainers, Suzanne’s passion is helping leaders develop a non-confrontational leadership style called Calm, Confident Power. She helps leaders train the mind to notice with precision what’s happening internally and externally, so they can consistently influence others and create lasting change.

Suzanne is the author of the book, The Mind to Lead: Coaching for Calm, Confident Power.

As a mindful leadership coach, trainer, and a graduate of Corporate Coach University, Suzanne has helped a variety of clients in the public and private sectors become more effective.

She has a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico, an M.S. from George Washington University, and a B.S. from the University of Georgia.

Dr. Kryder's background in mindfulness distinguishes her from other neuroleadership consultants. She has practiced mindfulness (also known as Insight or Vipassana) meditation since 1985. She’s done a total of more than 12 months of silent retreat practice including long retreats at Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts as well as a three-week retreat at the Kyaswa Monastery outside Mandalay, Burma.

Suzanne is certified to teach mindfulness courses as a Community Dharma Leader through Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, California. As a result of her mindfulness practice and training, she created the neuroleadership development system that's taught in the unique Mind to Lead mindful leadership retreats.

Suzanne is the author of Dreaded Conversations at Work: From Conflict to Collaboration, an ebook on reducing the dread and delay of difficult conversations. You can listen to her coach or download a free copy of the ebook.

Suzanne is a co-founder and co-host of Peace Talks Radio, a series on KUNM-FM 89.9 in Albuquerque and on other National Public Radio affiliates that explores peacemaking and non-violent conflict resolution. She's interviewed leading peace experts (Dr. William Ury, Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, and Byron Katie), neuroscientists (Dr. Dan Siegel and Dr. Richie Davidson), and neuroscience authors (Dr. Rick Hanson and Dr. Daniel Goleman).

“Suzanne is quick to master the mission and goals of an organization, to hold leaders and team members to their commitments, and to create positive work flow.

She’s not afraid to challenge her clients to do better and have difficult conversations. EPIC has worked with many consultants, but none that got the results in such a short time as Suzanne.”

Erik Gustafson, Executive Director
Education for Peace in Iraq Center (EPIC)
Washington, DC

“I work with small business owners who have to learn how to address performance and accountability issues.

Suzanne provided a wonderful workshop that explained how to hold people accountable. I believe that the participants will be able to implement the techniques immediately.”

Candice Miles, Director

University of the District of Columbia
